Changing the world, one diaper at a time.
Rev. Sara Tate
I’m a pastormom. It’s kind of like the nature of Jesus. I’m fully pastor. I’m fully mom. It’s no longer about juggling hats. It’s about reconciling the hats and appreciating the complexity.
I’m an ordained elder in the Memphis Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. My kiddos love the church right now and I hope and pray that they love the church for many years to come.
I’m married to the most amazing man on the planet (I’m clearly a bit biased). He’s also a UMC pastor and he’s a seminary student too which means we juggle a lot. I have two boys and he has three girls. We’re lucky to also have a pretty cool village who help with the small people so we can attend to all of our callings.
Our greatest hope in this life is to play an active roleĀ in healing a hurting world while maintainingĀ a pretty amazing personal world. Admittedly, I think we do a pretty good job.
These writings reflect the journey, the successes, the failures, the passions, and those hopes.
